My Brother
The rain came down with thick drops and the entire world turned grey.
"Brother," I asked looking out of the window, "what's this?"
My elder brother Charles looked up from the book he was reading and watched the thick drops falling.
"That's the rain, Christoph, just the rain again." He sounded sad and it made me feel sad, too.
"I want it to stop, it makes us sad. I want it to stop."
"I know, but don't worry it will stop soon." My bother smiled and I grinned at him.
"Will it? Yeah, wil

SERAPH-01: Countdown Initiated
Down a clinical white-painted hallway, a young woman in a white lab coat grumbled to herself as she pushed a heavy cart along the hallway. She was petite and around seventeen years old, with emerald-green eyes and the pale complexion of a person that spends long periods of time indoors. Hanging from a lanyard around her neck was an ID badge, with her picture and the words "Elsa Williams, WORK EXP" written on it.
Looking at her, there wasn't much for the eye to catch. She seemed, for all accounts, to be perfectly ordinary; just another studious teenager on work experience.
Fate can be cruel one day and almost help full the next. Sometimes fate plans far in advance and sometimes its on a whim. It all depends on how the cosmic dice land for you. Apparently fate decided to influence how the dice landed for me and I ended up in one of the most interesting situations I could have ever imagined.
It all began for me about a week after I lost my job for the second time. I was walking down on 16th street mall when two police officers stopped me.
"Jeramy Quintanar?" One of them asked
"Yes." I calmly answered while my head began to panic"
"Would you mind if you came to HQ with us?" One of them asked.

Varlen took in the spectacle of the night as he flew high over the land. He casually looked down to see the nearby village of Horedon Glen underneath him. There a few lights, torches of the village people who stayed up this late, but the streets were deserted. He kept on flying until he reached the Horedon Forest, their meeting point. He descended into a meadow inside the forest and landed in the tall grass.
The other two had not arrived yet, he was on his own. He took the time he had to inspect the body that he had lived with his entire life. The deep dark green scales on his back and limbs, the color of fresh moss, and the scutes on his n
Part 1 of "The New Age"
You know, perception is a funny thing. Especially with me, for the first 20 years of my life I was considered odd by others. I guess I really started noticing it at around 10. I wasn't the biggest or the tallest but I was among the few. But they had a far different method of behaving than me. At that age kids like to throw their weight around, be a little bossy, helps to teach them boundaries by trial and error. Me? I never had that problem, I just seemed to know what was right and wrong from the beginning.
Unfortunately my natural tendency towards being nicer to others gave me the appearance of being weak willed, wh
A Change in Fate
A young boy wanders through an unexplored forest. He's about eight years old, with brown hair, blue eyes, and slightly ripped clothes. He stumbled through the forest limping on his right leg. His body was torn to shreds; many injuries were clearly visible across his entire body. He kept pushing himself to his limits, wandering deeper and deeper into the dark forest which enveloped the night, until finally he came across a creature lying down in the ground, surrounded by trees. The boy limped forward to take a closer look at the creature but as he stood over body of the creature he saw the true horror that lay before him. The

I'd been hitchhiking for the past few days, it wasn't so bad now that I was used to it. Usually it's much worse than this, considering I had made it all the way to San Antonio from Milwaukee in three years was a feat keeping my spirits up, and the mild spring Texas weather was heavenly compared to the cold that I usually had to put up with in the middle states. It felt good to be back in the south, hadn't been back here since we moved when I was eight, I almost forgot how much farmland most of this place was, maybe He wouldn't find me here.
"He" being my bastard of a stepdad Belden, had been tracking me a few d
A boy wearing a short brimmed hat as well as a blue smock-like shirt with a badge with the kanji for "Akira" written on it sat in his brother's car as they drove around, trying to make up their minds what to do for the afternoon.
I should probably introduce myself first. My name is Akira. Actually that's my Japanese name. I am commonly known on the internet as Animeboye. This is a story of something unfortunate that happened to me during my visit in California.
In the car sat me, two of my friends, and my brother and sister in law. We tried to figure out what we were going to do.
The roof of the car appeared as if it was going to cave in o
